Loco & Jam are Northern Irish based Techno duo made up of Lloyd Reid and James Peoples. They have released great dancefloor tunes in labels like Tronic, Stereo and Relief and now we have three proper techno tracks for their Suara debut: “Tell Me Why”, “Apocolyptic” and “After The Storm” are solid tools to burn down the club with elegance and make up an up-to-date techno release. On the remix duties we have two great names like Olivier Giacomotto, who brings his remix into a percussive, electronic and tech-house way and Oliver Deutschman, who turned “After The Storm” in something raw and deep.

International DJ, music composer, charting producer, in-demand remixer, Beatport best selling Tech-House artist of year 2015, Olivier Giacomotto is a proven integral player of the electronic music scene. Partner of John Acquaviva, they currently co-run the independent label Definitive Recordings and manage various kind of music projects around the world.

Olivier Giacomotto first got into production in 1999 working as producer assistant at Townhouse Studios in London, then went back to France with enough experience to start a career of music composer. His tireless need to evolve and grow as creative entity and forward thinking artist always forced this Paris based composer to constantly seek a new musical excitement. Therefore Olivier naturally crossed musical genres and trends always keeping an eye on the original definition of the underground.

In the last 10 years, he progressively found his path into techno, house, electro, tech-house, deep house, and forged his success with constant appearances in the highest ranks of the Beatport charts, the biggest online music store specializing in electronic dance music. The third Realm Of Consciousness compilation on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Recordings is the label’s most complete statement so far.

The four-vinyl opus opens with Tale Of Us’ now anthemic ‘Nova’, a high-impact and well-loved staple of their sets this year. Agents Of Time continue with the percussive rattle of ‘Paradigm’, before the first released collaboration between luminaries Recondite and Henrik Schwarz shines with understated melody.

Amongst Mind Against’s eerie masterpiece ‘Portal’ and impressive first appearances on Afterlife from Scuba (as SCB) and Steve Rachmad (as Sterac) are ethereal contributions from Fideles, Ovend and Øostil. UK techno veteran Edit Select channels the darker, hypnotic spirit of Afterlife with ‘Phase In’, setting up the sprawling, 14-minute epic from Luigi Tozzi and Antonio Ruscito.

To begin the compilation’s fourth disc, Konstantin Sibold & Kosme’s ‘Cyclone’ lifts the tone, leading into a more introspective sound from Hunter/Game on ‘Changing Weather’. Upcoming German talent Kevin De Vries follows with his infectious cut ‘Mágoa’ and Tone Depth ends the odyssey in mesmerising style with ‘Ibn Sina’.

 Here is the recording of my very first sunrise set at Burning Man 2018 in the Black Rock Desert. I started playing around 5:45 am, the lights and lasers were still glowing in the cold darkness of the night..as the songs were passing by, the sky turned blue and the horizon warmer. Burners were all facing the deep playa, waiting for the sun to appear. It was an honour to soundtrack this moment and share music in such a magical place. No matter how hard I try, words can barely describe the energy and emotions felt in that instant... I hope music can express it better. 

I'd like to thank Maxa Camp & The Gardens of Babylon for inviting me to play on this beautiful Xaman Art Car...the mystical blue deer.   I’m very grateful to have shared this moment with so many incredible souls, old and new friends.

Founded by label boss Einmusik end of 2008, the imprint has grown to a large family with members from Beirut, Toronto, Madrid, Amsterdam and many more cities. To celebrate 10 Years of it’s creative journeys and visions, Einmusika asked some friends and highly respected musicians to pick their favourite track from the past 10 Years for a very particular remix. 

So this time we’ll bring ya „J’oublie“ remixed by Olivier Giacomotto - a big dancefloor number. Dave Seaman remixed Tim Engelhardt’s “Vega“ and this one stays in your mind for hours. 3000 Grad founder Mollono.Bass comes with a new version of “Multiple Life“ by Einmusik - one for the hot nights and the festivals around the globe. We asked Julian Wassermann about his fave Einmusika track and he picked “La Danse Du Scorpion“ by Sébastien Léger - the one which made the clubs shaking in 2017 and is now putted to the next level with a darker attitude and clubby sounds. Emotional and uplifting comes Paji’s version of “Starlings“ by N’to, what an unique remix - individual and spheric.

10 Years Remixes Part II

N'to - J'oublie (Olivier Giacomotto Remix)

Part 2 of the Propaganda remixes picks up where the first left off. Gathering together some of the finest talent in contemporary techno, Oliver Huntemann’s killer LP from late 2017 gets more new reworks and remixes.

'Momentum' is flipped by the ever dependable André Winter, who’s deep and groovy interpretation brings new textures to the orignal and will delight fans of his previous work.

Fur Coat, the producer duo originally from Venezuela and now based in Barcelona, bring their own specific flavour to one of the album highlights, 'Egoist'. Their remix is a stripped down driving techno cut with a deeply acidic undertone.

Olivier Giacomotto, the techno producer from Bordeaux, France, provides a electro infused rework of 'Vertigo', adding sharp
808 patterns, a thick cut groove, and eventually some deep pads to his version.

'Malaria' gets the treatment by SHADED who drops his Dark Stab mix. Skyler Patrick Taugher, the Californian behind the
SHADED moniker, brings a particularly tough mix for one of Huntemann’s key tracks - a sure fire peak time winner.

Another album highlight 'Doppelgänger' is remixed by Berlin resident and Upon You boss Marco Resmann, adding layers of
dynamic rhythym with which to counterpoint his edgy pads and deep synth touches.

'Trick17' is giving a mix by Senso regular Distale. A filthy, low roller with fathoms-deep sub bass and and sparkling percussion.

The young Russian Maksim Dark adds his own interpretation of 'Poltergeist' to the release, edging up the darkness a little
more and producing a growling, tough techno workout that will go over big on a lot of floors this year.

The man from Rostock, Carlo Ruetz, provides a slick dub of 'Der schwarze Kanal’, stripping away any superfluous sounds
and setting the controls fort he heart oft he dancefloor.
