Mainly known for his intense, beat-driven post-club sound, found on releases for Opal Tapes, Yerevan Tapes and Noorden among others, Evitceles debuts on Shimmering Moods with an immersive collection of atmospheric pieces. Those have been written and carefully collected in the span of whole three years. 

Even in his most aggressive and complex works, Bulgarian producer Etien Slavchev has always managed to find a place for transparent and moody ambient layers, giving his music an overwhelming sense of nostalgia and melancholy. In ‘Somnabulant Fog’ the ambiance is at the foreground of the music and yet it’s approached from multiple angles. While pieces like ‘When My Waves Grew’ or ‘Softer Double’ explore a more polished and melodic sound, Evitceles classics like ‘Arms Around’ and ‘Indigo Breath’ are reminding us of the project’s early days of a more lo-fi leaning production.
