A sense (in Swedish ”förnimmelse”) is a biological system used by an organism for sensation, the process of gathering information about the world through the detection of stimuli.

To this sense the brain can observe color, forms, heat, coldness, taste, movement, smells and sounds.

But also in the unconscious we can experience things and perceive, like in a dream.

While visiting an ancient monastery in Sweden I got a feeling or sensation that something beautiful and sad had happened there. I got inspired by these sensations and made music.

In this album we will take a journey through these senses, from the world we live in, to the dream, the unconscious and things beyond words, sometimes a bit like music. It's an abstract experience…

"Forgotten Stories" is envisioned as a collection of ten short stories, centered around the theme of rediscovering and shedding light on ten particular narratives that have been obscured by the passage of time. This project represents a personal acknowledgment of the fragility of our memories and seeks solace in the profound beauty of nostalgia.

The loops utilised in the creation of this collection were recorded over a span of five years in France, captured on tape. The mixing process took place throughout 2023, incorporating additional elements such as field recordings and shortwave radio signals.

Hidekazu Imashige aka Gallery Six is an artist and composer who lives in Hiroshima, Japan.

He began his career as a musician playing drums in some rock bands, then in 2008 he started making ambient music releasing the "Invisible" EP on Twisted Tree Line (UK), "Element Perspective 071" on Element Perspective (Japan) and some self-released albums.

In 2010 Gallery Six with other Japanese artists have formed the "ArtLism. JP" art group, made up of musician, photographer and film director, met together around the concept of interplay between "Art + Altruism".

Creating fragile ambient textures and experimental sounds based on his thought that "Everything in the world has two faces, so we need to watch them from both sides", his sound combines elements such as beauty and dirty or light and dark. His musical research is aimed at exploring the relationship between the opposite, incorporating a wide range of source materials including field recordings, noises or glitches.
