Shingie-Lee is a unique talent within the underground rap scene. His passion for the genre and desire to drive it forward through innovation is evident in his discography. With just a quick listen to his self-produced abstract beats, combined with clever and sometimes deeply personal lyrics, it's clear that Shingie-Lee is the subgenre's standout artist.

Leroy Shingai Twaibu, also known as Shingie-Lee, was born on October 3, 2003, in Harare, Zimbabwe. He's a rapper, record producer, and songwriter from South Africa's North West province. Shingie-Lee's music can be categorized as alternative/abstract hip-hop and cloud/emo rap, and he's known for his underground sound.

Shingie-Lee started producing music in 2018 and released his first single, "Nylon," in October of the following year with the guidance of the country's largest hip-hop collective at that time. Since then, he has released several singles and EPs, including "Hear My Thoughts," "Waves," "OGMA," "Dark Pit Sardines," and more. His debut mixtape, "Mannekin: Volume 1," was released on April 30th, 2024.
