Sneaker has been on a mission to reveal the origins of electronic music for more than twenty years now. Whether as a producer or DJ – Sneaker is doing it properly but always after careful consideration. He loves music which imparts atmosphere and attitude towards life, even in a parodying way that doesn’t take itself too serious. Early on, he fell in love with Detroit and Chicago but furthermore there are the obscure Italo, new wave and minimal synth gems that make his sets and Dunkeltier edits special and provide his productions with that edgy Sneaker flavor.

If he doesn’t ponder on the history of dance music, the graduate of Fine Arts shuttles extensively between his part-time-hometowns Berlin and Dresden, where he operates the TailOut mastering studios with long-time collaborator Jacob Korn. He remixed classic EBM and minimal synth bands such as Twilight Ritual, Esplendor Geométrico, Absolute Body Control, S.M. Nurse, De Fabriek and Click Click on his contributions on Frigio, based in Madrid, Bahnsteig 23 and the Macadam Mambo Edits label from Lyon.

In regards to this particular mix: 
This is the other view, the cold hand of ragged whities, this is the answer to a question not asked, these dots were never connected in 33 years (the earliest pick dating back to the UK in 1990).
Records from Germany, Italy, Finland, Holland, Switzerland, Austria - they all contribute to this woven fabric.
A bunch of my own joints sneaked in, plus a track (indeed done in a tracker in the early 2000s) by my best buddy Jacob Korn (we run tailout.de).

Often described as "kind of Enigmatic", in a shocking coincidence, recent rumor has it that he is the unwanted son of Michael Cretu (aka Enigma).

Beneath a horizon that is forever out of reach, Marius unveils uncharted sonic territories through his Youtube channel that keeps growing out of proportion.

Italian dj, sonic explorer and spatial researcher based in Turin, Luce Clandestina aspires to create unconventional sound imageries fluctuating between light and darkness. Member of the independent label Details Sound as well as Mutaforma project, she has been co-curating the italian independent festival https://soundcloud.com/cultofestival, and she’s a resident with the show 'Vago Spazio Del Ritmo' on Radio Raheem since 2021.

Between labyrinths of hypnotic, dark and often psychedelic rhythms, her sets are eclectic and spontaneous paths that develop intertwining in an unexpected narrative, reflecting the interest towards a more internal dance and listening experience, as well as mental and emotional.

Amsterdam-based Elina Tapio is a DJ/radio maker/sonic researcher with a touch for dark, cerebral sets infused by industrial atmospheres and psychedelic rhythms. She co- hosts the experimentally oriented shows Scrying the Landscape on Tbilisi’s Mutant Radio and axia maxim on Amsterdam’s Echobox. Together with Marco Segato the two have recently started releasing music under the moniker eoobe.

The album includes the most direct and propulsive Shinoby material yet. 
There is a functional connection to dance music here, honing in on the celestial bliss's human element embedded within a sound fraught with inhumanity.
The music is emotional, hostile, dark, grungy, dissenting, acidic and energetic. Mostly based on repetitive patterns, the distorted yet perfectly balanced percussion drills through the concrete warehouse walls long into the night.
The not occasional use of distortion brings the dense atmosphere to near suffocating limits. 
Like life, pieces begin and end abruptly, sometimes in a harsh and jarring way.
"I frequently worry that being productive is the surest way to lull ourselves into a trance of passivity and busyness the greatest distraction from living" 
proclaims the text on the back of the album sleeve,
"as we coast through our lives day after day, showing up for our obligations but being absent from our selves, mistaking the doing for the being"
insistent and persistent, Shinoby doesn't stop.
