Just stumbled across your music - this is really awesome! I've always loved Hisaishi's music for the Ghibli films, and Summer is a super cute song - can definitely hear his influence here! =)

One of my favourite pieces to play as a kid was "Summer" by Joe Hisaishi and I've always been blown away by his scores for the Studio Ghibli films.

Bonsai Forest

Shin Suzuma is a pianist and composer. Recently releasing a debut EP "Introspect" on Platoon, his music explores the meeting point between the classical and neo-classical, exploring an interplay between electronic, warped organic strings and piano textures.

Inspired by the sonic and harmonic creativity of Chilly Gonzales and Nils Frahm, he began to develop his long-held love of improvisation into composition.

Beginning the piano at age 3, many of his compositions are for solo piano and are played in such a way to create a sense of intimacy and calm. With the occasional touch of melancholy, his music always has a prevailing sense of hope and gentle optimism.

Being of mixed British and Japanese heritage his other inspirations include the Japanese artists Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi.
