I have been working on this one for a while. You see, there was a time not so long ago where pitchers in baseball were using odd combinations of dirt, spit, rosin, coca cola, and even spider tack to get the ball to stick to their hands better. This led to some pretty ridiculous spin rates and insane ball movement. Batters already have a pretty tough job in baseball - swing a relatively thin stick to hit a relatively small ball that is moving faster than most cars in a drag race - and they got pretty pissed at this "sticky ball" situation. As such, there was a lot of discussion about "sticky balls" on sports news sites and within the baseball community. Since I have the maturity of a small child, I found all of this hilarious and simply had to start working on something that poked fun at all of this. It started as a poem and then, just recently, I turned it into a song.
