late but safe, here is my recording from one of the most beautiful festival experiences that i had during the european summer, a new festival created with love, smiling people everywhere, magical atmosphere, really happy to be part of the festival. 

i played just after a spontaneous b2b between @Garstique and @Leon-Kostner so i had the chance to start my set with some @SlowDisko spirit and after some time make evolution to housy Ale Castro vibes,,, yes, like a groovy pokemon.

The man of the moment @samgoku steps up and provides our eighth Podcast. After releasing his gorgeous debut EP with us over the summer, Sam Goku has since released on the highly acclaimed imprints Anjunadeep and Kindisch. His ability to conjure such colourful and nostalgic melodies has inspired us and no doubt many others around the world.  We had the honour of listening to this nice and loud whilst driving around a quiet, sunny island and it was a memorable experience.  It’s a joyous celebration of music that perfectly demonstrates the sound of Oleeva and of course Sam Goku. Enjoy the podcast and learn a little more about it below in a short interview.

Firstly, Thank you, what a special podcast. What is the track you opened it with? It’s a really incredible piece of music. What other tracks did you include and how did you go about creating the podcast?

Thank you! I opened the podcast with Peter Broderick's "A Ride on the Bosphorus" - it's a beauty. It came out on Erased Tape Records, one of my favourite labels. In a World where musical pieces become shorter everyday, it takes courage and some nobleness to create a piece of 17 minutes where every second is beautiful. I was so overwhelmed by the story it told that i had to include it as opening track. The other tracks are a mixture of some classics i've always enjoyed, great music by friends and family and two tracks of my own, of which one is not released yet. I came across that little closing track just in a random music listening session and i instantly fell in love with it.

I’ve noticed your style, productions and selections evolving with what seems like a little more inspiration and influence from the likes of Robag Wruhme, Studio Barnhus, Pampa Records and Permanent Vacation. Is that fair to say? Their unpredictable take on electronic music certainly inspires us a lot, what is it about their music you love?

Yes that may very well be. It's somehow just quite unpredictable what music i enjoy most at a particular time. It just has to touch me and i'll be influenced by it. To talk about Pampa, Studio Barnhus and Permanent Vacation i think it's the timeless approach they have in their music. They're just doing their thing year after year and thats what i love about it.

In our last interview we asked Daniel what music he would choose in certain situations, id love to know what you would play in the same ones. 

Closing track at Dekmental:  If i imagine the situation, i think i would play a classic. Really depends on the festival and the vibe though, but luckily there are a lot of classics in every genre of music!

A Wedding (full of aunties, uncles and grandparents):  I would play a mix of some smooth house and the heroes of their youth, so maybe i would play the Beatles but what i already know is that i would have do a lot of research and preperation before, haha.

Waking up and getting out of bed: I've had the same standard alarm tone for years. If i had to choose a new one, it would be Axel Boman's Fantastic Piano!

Your in a spaceship with all your friends about to land on the moon: Same as my new alarm tone, haha!

The title of your podcast, Sziran, what does it mean? 

It's an alternation of "Ziran", which is chinese and means "Nature, naturally, effortless, freely...".

You've recently been travelling in the far east right? Where did you go and how was it??

Yes, i've visited China and Japan. I've been to China very often but what i can say is that the older i get, the more i feel the connection to the people, the culture and of course the food. When i was younger, i didn't enjoy it so much because i wanted to stay with my friends. Now it already feels like a second home.
I enjoyed Japanese culture a lot. Everything there seems to be more introvert, more quiet and mysterious. But with all that swings a lot of beauty. I will definitely go back someday.

Sigismund „Slomo“ Freud war der ganzen Diskussion um seine Person und der ständigen Debatte um die ödipale Phase irgendwie müde geworden.
Dieser Foucault machte es mit seinen kruden Theorien um den Sexualitätsdispositiv auch nicht besser. Musste er sich dies in seinen späten Tagen wirklich noch antun?
Für weitere Studien um seinen kolumbianischen Lieblingswachmacher war er zu alt geworden und außerdem schlug ihm zu viel Kaffee ohnehin auf den Magen.
„Vielleicht lass ich’s mal etwas smoother angehen, ist ja eh Winter“, dachte er sich und mit einem zufrieden angezogenen linken Mundwinkel zwinkerte er verschmitzt in Richtung Grammophon.

As a DJ, Chris has shared his sound across dance floors in mysterious lands such as San Francisco, Black Rock City, Tulum, Ibiza, Dubai, Tokyo and Belden for over 20 years. Also a core member of the Burning Man camp Disco Knights, this Shiny guy is no stranger to bringing deep psychedelic vibes to the playa. When he’s not bringing the funk, Mr. Objects is hard at work running the Om label and getting shit done in his role as founder at SF’s Monarch nightclub and Up All Night.
