Well, I saw him wearing a yellow bandana
and I said "Hey, that's a cute bandana
but do you mind if I take it off and wave it around?
It's just a little something I like to do."
and he looked at me kind of quizzically 
but he untied it just like I asked for 

so now i'm waving waving waving
that bandana in the air

Well he got kind of tired of watching me wave
and he asked if I was gonna do it all day
and I said "No, what kind of person do you think I am?" 
he said "Look, I didn't mean it that way
I think that what I meant to say 
is that you can wave my bandana as long as you like." 

Well, I felt kind of bad for having so much fun 
and so I asked if he had another one 
so that maybe we could wave the two of them together

He said he only had one and started to cry
but just then a couple of passers by
said actually we've got a whole box of bandanas in the car
well it turned out they had several dozen
so we invited our friends and invited our cousins
and now we're all waving bandanas in the air
