Pop - Rock CD, Heart warming, Sweet and sad :)

Shira Gavrielov Wrote and composed all songs on the CD with an exception for Crazy which was a cover Shira felt she had to do since she fell in love with the lyrics. 

Shira was 19 years old when she released this CD. 
The CD was recorded in London and was released in Israel, Far east, Turkey, Denmark, Germany and the US. 
Was in the Top 200 CD's of the year for collage radio stations.

Shira Gavrielov

"I am a woman of contradictions and colors. I sing from my guts, but also from my soul. My voice is edgy, but also soft.  My singing evokes emotion, but power too. My sound is dance-pop, yet mixed with my Israeli audacity ." 
Only a handful of Israeli artists can call themselves songwriter, musician, arranger, singer and performer. At just 28 years old,  Shira Gavrielov is all that, and much more. With 2 full albums under her belt, she is now on the cusp of releasing her 3rd EP, “Wind, Rain Or Snow”, preparing to win over new audiences and reach new heights. 
With her heart-wrenching lyrics, soul-infused pop sound, masterful piano playing, and signature raspy voice, Shira already has an impressive international career outside her native Israel. 
She was the warm up act for both Paul Young and Suzanne Vega when they appeared in the country. She has also performed at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami with the Dubstep group "Masss" and later toured the US with them.  Her 2011 album "Clear Vision", recorded in London, was a success in Europe and the Far East, and listed among the top 200 albums of the year in college radio stations in the US.  During her 4 year stint in Manhattan, she has been a regular performer in New York City's most respectable venues, including BB king, Cafe Wha, Rockwood Music Hall, Prohibition, Highline Ballroom, Bowery Electric, Arlene’s Grocery, The turtle pub, The Hive, and more. She has also worked with top songwriters and producers, including Adam Levy (who wrote for Norah Jones), Tom Nichols (who produced for Pink) and international DJ Skazi.   
She was also the first Israeli to be accepted to “American Idol” (season 12), where she wowed judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, making it through to Hollywood week. 
Shira is the daughter of Miki Gavrielov, one of Israel's most beloved and influential songwriters and musicians. Out of his four children, she is the only one following in his footsteps. The beginning of her career was at the young age of 14,  when a well known Israeli producer gave her her first shot by releasing the pop single "Boy and Girl", which she had written herself.
Trying to find a voice and an audience often meant Shira had to uproot herself from her family, friends and country. First at 18, when she almost signed with a label in Paris; later in London, when she recorded her EP "Clear Vision"; and finally in New York, which she moved to on her own in 2013.  Shira started from performing on the subway with a ukulele to make a living, and  singing in tiny dives with only 5 people in the audience. But thanks to her talent and tenacity,  her following slowly grew. She secured a regular group of loyal musicians to perform with her, and started booking larger and larger venues around the city, to sold out audiences.               

Now residing permanently in Los Angeles, Shira recently married the love of her life in a magical outdoor ceremony, during which she sang an original love song to her husband along with covers of Whitney Houston and Beyoncé.  She is currently planning to write music for films while preparing for the release of her new album.  Produced by Avishay Goren, “Wind, Rain Or Snow" mixes Shira's powerful vocals with live instruments and electronic sounds. The tracks were inspired by her travels across America listening to folk, country, blues and gospel, which she later reinterpreted into electro-pop.  The topics are deeply personal: fear, loneliness, homesickness, love, and the ups and downs along the road to success. The contemplative words are juxtaposed with a thumping, uplifting production, that offers both solace and hope.
