In welchen musikalischen Stilrichtungen siehst du dich?
Ich mag es stilistisch zu variieren. Sozusagen wie ein musikalisches Chamäleon. Ich mag die langsamen & treibenden Töne von Downtempo,freshe & energiegeladene Beats wie Progressive House oder Indie Dance. Es soll allen ein lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern. 
Egal ob funky & fluffiger Discosound oder bounciger Techno. 
ich möchte jedes Set der Party anpassen und es abwechslungsreich und zugleich aufregend gestalten aber auch zeitgleich eine musikalische & sphärische Geschichte erzählen die den Moment der Party wiederspiegelt.

Wie bist du zu deinem DJ-Namen gekommen?
2020 gründete ich mit einer Freundin „das dynamische duo“ während wir zusammen Indie Dance & House spielten, habe ich schnell festgestellt, dass mich noch mehr Genres interessieren, die meiner Duopartnerin garnicht zusagten. Schnell war klar, dass ich auch alleine spielen werde. Kurze Zeit nach dieser Entscheidungspielte mein Kumpel Simon im kronik im Eli ein Closing vom anderen Stern. Überragend! Ich wusste sofort: Mit ihm muss ich unbedingt mal spielen, was wir dann auch alsbald umgesetzt haben. Es flowte & ich spielte 7h am Stück mein erstes Techno Set b2b..
Aus dem Nichts fragte Simon nach meinem DJ Namen. Ich dachte erst so felsenfest an: La Dolce Dori
Daraufhin Simon: das klingt eher nach Pornodarstellerin aber nicht nach Techno. 
Tja, vielleicht nicht unbedingt Pornodarstellerin aber schon zu nett für Techno, was ich mir in dem Moment schon eingestehen durfte. 
Doch dann war ich mit dem nächsten Übergang dran & 
hatte erstmal keine Zeit mir weitere Gedanken über den zukünftigen Namen zu machen. Währenddessen lief Simon durch seine Wohnung & kam einen Übergang später zu mir & meinte:
DORI, was hälst du von RIOD ?
Ich erstmal so häääää? RIOD?
Darauf Simon:klar DORI nur sind die Buchstaben umgedreht! Was für ein Genie! Der Name ist genial und seit diesem Moment 
für mich nicht mehr wegzudenken. 

Wo willst du unbedingt mal spielen?
Festivals: 3000Grad & auf der Wilden Möhre
Clubs: im Sisyphos & nur zu gerne noch mal im Kater Blau 
In einer Bucht, das stell ich mir wunderschön vor.

Hast du ein absolutes Lieblingsset?
Ja, seit Jahren begleitet mich auf Soundcloud:

Welche Artists haben dich inspiriert oder inspirieren dich noch immer?
Seit Kindestagen inspirieren mich: Anne Clark, snap!, Depeche Mode und dann kamen da definitiv noch: esther silex, mimi love, martha van straaten, Lotte ahoi, dave dinger, sarah wild & wirklich noch so viele mehr dazu.  

Gibt es bestimmte Rituale oder Gewohnheiten, die du vor einem Auftritt hast, um dich vorzubereiten?
Ja, da ich vor jedem Gig immer ziemlich aufgeregt bin brauch ich definitiv erstmal ne Atemübungen & 3-4 Tropfen meines Orangenöls, was mich immer kurz auf’n spanischen Orangenhain mit herrlichem Sonnenschein versetzt und dann weiß ich mit Sonnenschein im Herzen kann ich beruhigt an die Decks gehen.

3 QUESTIONS TO BRITTA ARNOLD:

Q: As the festival summer is already gone now: which was the biggest „night to remember“ for you?

 A: I had a lot of big nights. For example the Fusion Festival as I played on the main stage („Turmbuehne“) and it was so amazing! Still getting goosebumps when I think back on it. And for sure the Garbizc Festival in Poland was a highlight too aswell as the Kater birthday at KaterBlau Berlin. I really had a perfect festival summer with crazy nights and days.


Q: Which was the track that inspired you most the past years?

A: Oh there were so many great tracks from great artists. Denis Horvat is one of the best for me. Actually I love all of his productions, especially „Flawless“ and „Cedevita“. Also I´m a big fan of the productions from Sascha Cawa and Marcus Meinhardt. 

Q: After having your latest single release on KaterMukke this year - what´s coming up next?

A: End of October 2015 there will be a Heinz Music Compilation and I’m proud to be a part of it. Also I finished an EP with Lee Jones and I´m working on a new Katermukke release with Sascha Cawa and Dirty Doering. Other tracks are finished too but I´m not sure yet where they will be released.
