Brighton resident Shiver brings in 2013 with the release of Xtrvrt and Camo due at the end of the month. With already a few releases on Protect Audio under his belt, Shiver shows no signs of slowing! 

Xtrvrt begins in a distant, unidentified place, with deep, dark atmospherics surrounding a central beat. Bass fields invade the picture, and a sense of foreboding surrounds all. Things get stripped back before the drop, and then continue straight ahead after it, with deviations only into a percussive accompaniment. Shiver knows what he is doing, and that is wringing every last drop out of this headnodding ode to insularity and insecureness. Things take on more of an electronic edge later, but the beat is a constant reminder of the darkness inside.
