'Wisecrack', part of a new Ep coming soon.
I decided to use Glenn Welman to drum and what a great job he's done.
An extremely professional gent.
Ive used his services on my next song on this Ep which will be previewed soon.
Alfonso Muchacho was asked to do the mixing for this as i'd had spent so much time i'd come to a bit of a stagnated time so i wanted a fresh outlook, fresh ears, and of course expertise.
Early versions continued my lyrics sung at a lot faster pace, but didn't sound good enough.
I then experimented and slowed down my singing and removed some lyrics to fit in.
The bass, acoustic and rhythm and low lead guitar elements were recorded early on and used throughout the making of the song without any major adjustment, although the lead guitar at the start and end of the song was the final guitar layers to be added (heard at the end of this sample).
The song was recorded at 95bpm but then it was decided to speed up the tempo to 102bpm.
Mastering as always is done by AM because the final product always sounds great!
It was completed in a little under a week on August 10th 2025.
