My keynote address at the Salish Sea Bioneers conference on Friday Nov 6th 2015. It was an emotionally traumatic experience for me where I had to make myself very vulnerable. Fortunately, my suffering led to a transformative experience for others. (A woman of color sacrificing so others can be happy - the historical norm.)

I spoke second, after Sundance Chief Rueben George's incredible keynote presentation on indigenous activism.

I took the stage to deliver the second keynote and spoke on the issues of spirituality in the climate movement, gender justice, the Divine Feminine and Masculine, how to recognize our true selves, and how to fight oppression. All of this was well received and positive - it was in the Q&A afterwards that things turned ugly.

I was asked "How do we address the racism currently present?" and in response I did a radical thing. I spoke the truth. There were some white people in the audience who didn't like that...

I was a guest speaker at the Queer and Transgender People of Color and POC Advocacy meeting sponsored by Gender Justice League. In this talk, I went into detail about what it means to be an ally in Racial and Gender Justice, and how we are working to be good allies with Indigenous peoples and marginalized communities everywhere.

This session focuses on gurus and how to recognize a real guru. Who is the guru? What is the guru's purpose? Who are some gurus in history? Are there dangers to finding a guru? We'll discuss what Bhakti yog has to say about it, particularly what we need to know to avoid frauds and fake gurus.
