This was crazy... on stream my wonderful friend and genius composer chimeratio (https://soundcloud.com/chimeratio) was hanging out and I decided to do a bonkers improvisation dedicated to him... I put the loop length at like 50 bars or something and just went crazy without even trying to keep track of what I was playing and just hoped things would work out. This is a series of 4 songs I wrote for "Super Islands" on Battle of the Bits! All four are hardware-authentic SNES chiptunes recorded directly from my Super Famicom, and all but the last track are written using different flavors of just intonation.

A best-of selection of MIDI music composed between 2002~2010, refurbished & re-recorded in 2022. A 1997 Yamaha MU100 XG multi-timbral MIDI synthesizer module was used for the generation of all sound. Tracks 6, 8, 11, 12, 14 & 15 also use a PLG100DX FM expansion plug-in board.
