Known for an interestingly unique melodic sound which is to be referred to as mumble rap fused with a certain style of conscience rap lyrics. Born Michael Angelo Jackson Jr, he grew up in the southern parts of Eastern North Carolina, where he taught himself how to rap and write, produce and engineer music, which he says he has been doing so for a total number of 10+ years. Fast forwarding, Shocka J would go on to drop a barrage of mixtapes, including, "R.E.D", "The Come Up", and his latest Mixtape release "SHOCKTOBER', along with a few others. Despite his increasing number of Mixtape releases, Shocka J is also known to be a versatile featured artist on many of other artist's tapes and singles as well. Dating back to 2011 where he would forge the group "SPMG" or " So Pricey Money Gang" along with His Cousins LucaVana and Renaissance, releasing a wave of tapes and singles. Even now, Shocka J is Known to have aligned himself to many groups he created. To this day he associates himself, along with Rapper Young NV, referring to themselves as "100 Proof".
