Renowned and well respected Alabama Lyricist Tony Harris had some lyrics that needed music and vocals , I obviously jumped at the chance and got to work on it ! We've done another one since which is out on the 8th of April . Me , Gaz and Greg have a belter out on the 1st and Charlotte and I have 2 great numbers waiting in the wings . This is a song that originated with Ken several months ago. He wrote the whole thing on piano, guitar, and drums and presented it to the rest of the band. Of course, everyone was very excited to add their spin to it. I added my bass part first, as the foundation. Ken also left his catchy original guitar intro as it was. Then JJ added his dynamic piano part, which ended up being both foundational and stylistic, along with the sax that you hear in there, too. Stephen added his solid foundational guitar to it, too, soon after. Then it sat, stalled out for need of some vocals. Of course, we asked TMD to add some, which he did in grand fashion for the choruses. All that was left were the verses. Ken wrote lyrics, and gave me an idea for the melody, so I sang the verses to wrap it up. Of course, we asked Stephen to produce and mix it for us, which he did so well, as always.

  We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed making it.

Dani and i the night before the launch of our new record just trying to shake off the cobwebs as we have had a few weeks without  jamming and now we better get our shit together: )  Album info .......The Rat Palace was our studio from when we first started seriously working together in 2016 until the landlords decided it was time for the artists to go and the tourists to come. It had been Mat's base since 2009 and hosted dozens of artists and musicians since it first started in 2006.
As the name suggests the place was run down, lacked various things like hot water, proper access and heating but it had a vibe, and the people we shared the space with all felt and helped to create it....Creativity was everywhere, day after night after day for years.
These 7 improvisations are a tiny fraction of the jams we had there, just a few highlights from 100s of jams. They are raw, unpolished and unconcerned with anything outside the moment. We rarely 'rehearsed' as such at the Rat Palace - just played.
Things come and things go - Vale Rat Palace, you were amazing.

Epos of the Fallen Pt 3 Final Chapter

First song I am posting in 2024!

This is what I wrote in 2013 when I first thought about posting Nothing But (The Sound) but decided to take it down from the cloud short after. 

"Nothing But (The Sound)" is Plastic Inevitable's first song since 2011! Plastic Inevitable is Marty Procaccio, AKA Blankets, working the sound and Sneekie San Salvador tweaking the sound. The recording for this song began in 2011 in the bedroom recording studio of Marty in Santa Clara California using GarageBand and a whole bunch of pedals. The song was completed in 2013 with vocals recorded in Sneekie San Salvador's mobile Toyota recording unit.

Now it is 11 years later...

I am amazed that I found the vocal stems. I had to look though an old hard drive to find them. I did not feel like digging through more old hard drives for the original track stems. Big thanks to Russell for taking the time to mix the vocals and master the track. I told Russell, when I mixed the original instrumental I was listening to a lot of shitgaze bands at the time. 

May you find many gems when you dig into your past.
