From Berlin With Love (A Bleep & joerxworx collab)

It is not about the famous astronomer, mathematician and philosopher who lived in the ancient city of Alexandria. Ipatia is one of the fictional cities in a work by Italo Calvino (‘The Invisible Cities’) published in 1972 (and translated into English in 1974). 
I composed this song in 1997 and recorded it (with Elisabetta) almost immediately (that's when I bought a Korg D8). Now I have simply remixed it after separating the tracks and improving the volume of the vocals and the equalisation of the classic guitar (it is a Yamaha CG 110CE pre-amplified, and the effects were adjusted then with the Korg). The arrangement is very sparse, the sound quality not optimal.

One of the plays from the Buendiana cycle, based on the plots and images of the novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez.
Marquez's prose is always a little bit about all of us... Who has not known the torment of unrequited love? Pietro Crespi was a young Italian, invited to teach Amaranta and Rebeca dancing and music. In addition, he was a watchmaker and instrument tuner. Naturally, he fell in love with his students. Amaranta did everything to make the choice in her favor. But the most insane and cruel thing in her plans was to first bring Pietro Crespi closer, and then declare that she would never marry him. Crespi opened her veins, unable to bear such cruelty. At the moment when he died, all the chimes, pocket watches, pianolas, music boxes in all of Macondo began to play, tick and creak their springs, informing the entire area of ​​the departure of their benefactor...
