Here's one I had for a few weeks that I planned to add more too. Possibly more solos and such. But I really think this flows nice and forcing more may ruin it. Plus I had a few friends tell me the same. So here it is..."Chasing Time" ...

This one is more a fun upbeat Pentatonic driven song. A little different than my normal style, but was a fun little jam. I may remix it at some point if I ever put out an EP. I believe this one may be a candidate for that compilation!

Chasing Time

I've been very busy lately with work and life in general. One night a few weeks ago I was playing around with my rhythm tone and came up with this one. After a few days of drums, leads and fine tuning the rhythm tracks; this was the end result :)

The Red Candle

The song came together in about a day. Then a few days of fine tuning. Rhythm tone is getting much better thanks to James T Ford Music (https://soundcloud.com/jamesfordmusic). Helped me dial in a heavier tone.

Staying with the pentatonic theme, this is a new funky one I pulled together in a few days. I had to take 2 months off due to some tendonitis, but I seem to be back to normal.

Celestial Interference

This piece took a lot of work. I wrote out all 12 guitar parts (playing them first of course, then writing out the music). This is my classical tribute to the composers of the past. Those who influenced me such as Mozart, Yngwie, Becker, Pachelbel, Rachmaninoff, Paganini, Schubert and so many others. 

I don't think that I'll create any more "crazy guitar" songs like this one. It would certainly be tough to top it technically or creativity. I certainly pushed myself for this one. But who knows what tomorrow will bring!

There are parts to this song that perhaps I would do differently now. But this was an ongoing battle for several months. So I chose to leave it in its raw, yet polished form.

Another one that came together fairly quick. Experimenting more on the mix and panning. Getting there but learn new techniques every time. 

So far the feedback has been really good on this one. Funny because its not really over the top flashy guitar playing!

Experimenting more on the mix and panning. This one is Tuned a whole step down to D. There is very little gain for the guitars. Focus was working with EQ's to drive the overall sound.

The Parallel Universe

Arrangement I wrote for Pachelbel's Canon in D. I basically took the chord progression and wrote the arpeggio runs/melodies over them. 

I got the idea from watching an old Jason Becker seminar where he talked about creating arrangements to practice arpeggios.

I arranged, performed and recorded all parts.

Here's a new one that I wrote, performed, recorded etc. this weekend. I had a lot on my mind and decided to write a more "fun" song that's certainly not in my typical style. This one is more in a Fusion, Jazz, Funk type of groove.

All guitar parts were recorded using an American Fender Strat.

Midsummer Rain

Recently I had a disaster in my studio. Water pipe broke and flooded the area where my desk is. Lost the iMac. Also lost a number of songs I was working on. 

I found a number of "works in progress." This "Jazzy Jam" was an improvised solo that I did one night. Not mixed at all. Just a version I found when trying to salvage tracks I sent to my E-mail

The Dark Pyramid is an Egyptian influenced (Harmonic and Japanese Minors) song.

New one uploaded in Drop D Tuning. Probably the heaviest track so far. 

I started this one back in March. Then due to a water pipe breaking and flooding my basement, I lost it (iMac was ruined). 

I forgot all about this one until I found a recording the other day of the main riff on my iPhone (bounce I was testing in the car). So I decided to work back on it. Most of this is new, but the intro theme with the minor 9 and jazz chords is the same. ENJOY :)
