Mike Benoit is a wonderful sound artist who reached out to me this year with the idea of taking some raw improv piano playing and reworking them to produce original tracks. This appealed to me because 1 - I ain't the greatest piano player so this was flattering and 2 - I spend so much of my time reworking other peoples sounds it would be awesome to be on the receiving end for a change : ) .The album features 4 tracks, each one originally recorded on a different piano then given the treatments by Mike.

The dialogue featured here is from an interview with Swiss Psychologist Carl Jung in 1959. The interviewer asks Jung whether he believes there will be a Third world war.

I find it fascinating when words spoken long ago resonate with the world today.

Rodolfo https://soundcloud.com/rplanes gave me this piece and title to write a lyric around. I was drawn to man's not unnatural obsession with the cosmos from the earliest days, through using it to navigate the world and gain power, to now potentially using it as a last ditch escape from our polluted and depleted home. I particularly enjoyed this song as I get to sing in Spanish and also a good proportion of this song is instrumental. So sit back and let this journey wash over you.
