This song began with Terry sharing an intriguing Eastern sounding synth and minimal beat with Ken, who added a really solid beat to bring out the strong rhythm of the song. Once they had a solid foundation and skeleton, they shared it with the rest of the Eclectic Collective. Josh added his five string fretless bass in a dubby line that was inspired by Tez's hot skank part.  Stephen came up with the shocking dynamic lift towards the end, and Tez piled on to light it up. Then MD got a hold of it and wrote and sang some of his trademark, fun lyrics and vocals in the first part of the song. Ken, not to be left out of the melodic experience, added the vocals at the end. 
  After we all had everything in the can, the Texas Tea combo of Stephen and Terry produced and mixed the whole thing down. This wasn't their first rodeo mixing a project together, and it really shows in the end quality. They also have several duo projects up on both of their pages that are worth checking out.  
  We think the end result is reminiscent of Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation, two big influences on a few of us. We all hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Satin Sheets was a popular country hit song written by John Volinkaty and first recorded by Bill Anderson and Jan Howard on their March 1972 duet album, Bill & Jan or (Jan & Bill). It was then famously covered by American country music artist Jeanne Pruett in February 1973 as the first single and title track from her album of the same name. The song was Pruett's only Number One country hit, as well as her only chart entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
Nat & I were asked by Jerry Madden if we would collaborate on this classic cover and we were all too happy to do so. Jerry shows his tasty guitar playing throughout and we thank him for giving us the opportunity to join him here.

In between those 2 tracks me and Charlotte have a great song out on the 15th , and we're working on a belter , so watch this space ! After nearly losing one of my new kittens, Scout, to the deadly parasite Toxoplasma gondii (Toxoplasmosis), which caused some horrifying neurological symptoms, including body twitches, I decided to express my feelings about the experience in song using my new DAW. The song is upbeat because she recovered, and is now parasite free!
