When I received the email asking me if I was interested in collaborating with Dirk from The Gatsbys even  before I heard the track the answer was yes.
When I heard the track I was blown away by the instrumental and the big Rickenbacker sound.
The Rick sound had always been a big influence on my 90s band This Elegant Chaos. So it was a pleasure to be involved writing lyrics and singing on the track .
The song is a true story based on an extremely close friendship that spans from kids to the present day.
And how the dynamics of friends choices  in parters later in life changes how that friendship develops. 
Still always best friends because that we never change but that doesn’t mean the relationship doesn’t.
What’s ever said and done and when there’s nothing left to defend you will always defend them to the end. That’s just how it is.

Hey everyone. 2024 is coming. I sincerely hope that it will be a good year for everyone. I uploaded my performance of this song here because I wanted my friends to know that the gut strings on my electric acoustic guitar have finally calmed down. The strings have become accustomed to the guitar and I no longer hear any squeaks. Do not you think so? 

I chose this song because it's one of the songs I always play when tuning my guitar. Just set the capo on the 7th fret and play a simple chord like D, G, A7 or D, G, E and you're done. I'm a beginner when it comes to nylon string guitars, so this would be the perfect song for me to try out. I would like all of you who are practicing guitar to take this opportunity to master it. Also, I recently learned that this work, one of The Beatles' works, became the most listened to song of The Beatles' works on Spotify in 2021. It's a work that is popular all over the world. 

This is George Harrison's work. I hope that the serious wars and conflicts currently occurring will end as soon as possible. And, as George Harrison sings in this work, I hope that the day will come soon when we can all sing, `

When I listened to the recorded version myself, I was surprised at how simple it was, with no drums or bass, just a nylon string guitar solo. Should I play it again later with a pick and re-record it, or should I play it very slowly and re-record it, or should I change the position of the capo tasto and change the key of the performance? I had a lot of hesitation, but I decided to leave it as is, thinking that this was a record of me practicing to get used to playing the nylon string guitar and sharing it with you all. In other words, rather than getting confused at this stage, if you could sing along with this recording out loud, the weakness of this recording being too simple and lonely would be quickly overcome. I realized that it would be better to move on to the next step as soon as possible. So, I started thinking that my next step would be to try playing this nylon string guitar along with someone's amazing vocals on SoundCloud.

I dedicate this song to my dad who has not been in our lives and with the family for more than 25 years! God bless him forever! He died of terminal cancer and his death was very sad! Until the last day of his life he spoke with us while the disease consumed him! To tell the truth, I would have preferred to make a better song but it is what came out and good in memory of my father who will always be present in our lives!

In this song we composed dance music with the Ensoniq SD1 synthesizer but with ambient touches and also a Berlin school style melody! The song can be heard and was performed in its entirety live. And for percussion the Ensoniq ZR-76 synthesizer was used, which practically fulfilled the function of an electronic drum set!

Seagull surprised me with this lovely song as a gift for my 70th birthday, featuring his playing on acoustic guitar, and likening our friendship and musical comradery to a "walk in the morning dew".  I was beyond honored:)  Then the thought occurred to him, "what if Ed, Dan, Peter, and David joined me on my walk?"  Peter's words set the stage comparing our friendship (and lasting friendship in general) to fine gold "hewn from so much more than mere common ground"  Ed's gorgeous electric guitar defines the melody, Dan's synths and Clara's vocals add depth and emotion, and I get to decorate an already beautiful production in the left and right channels.  It is now a magnificent 70th birthday gift, enriched by my musical bond and friendship with these fine artists, and one I want to share with you dear listener.  Be blessed as you walk with us "in the morning dew":)
