Canope, le dixième prélude du livre 2 est l'un des morceau les plus étranges du compositeur. Les bocaux canopes sont des urnes, souvent avec des bouchons minutieusement sculptés, utilisés dans le processus de momification de l'Égypte ancienne - la signification précise dans le contexte de ce prélude est inconnue. Pour ma part j'y entends un hommage à Erik Satie.
