Drawing on early Roxy Music and breakthrough era Pulp and promo-Britpop bands, Cover Girl is an exploration of the pursuit of fame and the demands of social media, told through the lens of the high-fashion and modelling industry.

Cover Girl

A slice of beefy-beated blue-eyed soul. Part 2 appears on the forthcoming album, due 5th June. Saxophone by Izzy Neish. All other work by Andrew Johnson.

Andrew is a highly prolific Teesside based artist set to release his 22nd solo album (with around the same amount under other guises since the 2003 debut). Influences are wide and varied but fall mostly within melodic pop music though he is wont to stray elsewhere at his own leisure. He writes, performs and produces mostly alone from his home studio.

Temple of Love (Pt. 1)

Opening track on Andrew Johnson's 2026 album - To Call Me A Cult Would Be Somewhat Misleading. A smouldering missive that blends lo-fi beats and alternative rock sounds with a lyric about holding corruption to account.
