As we approach the end of another incredible year at the label, we proudly present our annual various artist compilation ‘Shogun Audio Presents: 2023’ - celebrating the incredible talent within our roster and vibrant drum & bass community. Reflecting the label's commitment to empowering artists, cultivating communities, and championing music that resonates with fans worldwide, these twenty-two handpicked tracks embody everything that the label stands for; quality drum & bass music. 

As we look ahead to 2024 to celebrate a key milestone for the label, remember to keep it Shogun.

Shogun Audio Presents: 2023

Two artists that have found a home for their exquisite sonic palettes on Shogun Audio, Pola & Bryson and Emily Makis now serve up some of their most captivating work to date. Titled 'Phoneline', this latest offering collates Emily's mesmerising vocal capabilities and songwriting with the masterful production of one of drum and bass' most talented production duos.

Following on from a monstrous 2022's in which Pola & Bryson released 'Tell You What I Did', which went into rotation on Radio 1's playlist, and remixed the likes of David Guetta, VenBee, and High Contrast, 'Phoneline' sees them link up with a future superstar and the most exciting and compelling vocalist in drum and bass music in Emily Makis.
A frenzy of drums, plucks, synth work, and vocals that all co-exist in a sphere that's equal in its vast quantities of tension, power, and beauty, 'Phoneline' is a serious statement from both artists that'll resonate with listeners in the dance just as much as it will with those hearing it at home.

It's not often that songs like this come around - we can't wait to share this one with the world.

As crisp, soulful, and polished as you'd expect a collaboration from two of drum and bass' most richly melodic and vibrant producers, GLXY & Halogenix's debut link-up is every bit as sonically sublime as we've come to expect from the two of them. 

Titled 'Unconditional', this first-ever collaboration between GLXY & Halogenix serves up a masterclass in sampling, as well as the perfect blend of vocals, drum work, and sumptuous sound design.

Presenting the next chapter for an artist that continues to rise within the drum & bass scene, Monrroe is set to captivate listeners once again with the launch of the groundbreaking 'Ikebana EP' on Shogun Audio. This highly anticipated offering is poised to take listeners on an electrifying journey through soundscapes, showcasing Monrroe's signature style that seamlessly blends emotion and energy across the 140-174 spectrum.

Blending the elements of a dance music classic with one of drum and bass' most enthralling vocal palettes and sugarcoating it with a heavy dollop of Jungle-infused brilliance, multi-genre singer and songwriter Charli Brix's debut solo single on Shogun Audio looks set to solidify itself as one of 2023's most indelible records.

A rework of Rui Da Silva's iconic anthem of the same name, which became a #1 single across the globe and won Musik Magazine's Best Single award in 2001, 'Touch Me', which was produced by high-flying drum and bass duo Pola & Bryson, sees the Bristol-based vocalist flex the sonic versatility and enchanting vocals that she's trademarked across the past decade.

Following on from her debut album 'The Art Of Change' earlier this year, 'Touch Me' sees Charli Brix continue to consolidate her spot as one of the most sought-after voices in drum and bass music.
