This format holds a special place in our hearts, as it perfectly embodies our mission: to give a platform to emerging artists and spread the fresh energy they bring to the scene.

This release brings together Yesca and HATT.D, two artists we first connected with through our Happy House compilations, now delivering a full-length statement of their own.

Shogun Audio proudly presents 'Play Fool', the electrifying lead single from the forthcoming collaborative EP by two legends of the drum & bass scene: Zero T and Fox.

Zero T, with over two decades in the game, returns to Shogun Audio, the label where he first made an appearance on the 'Assassins EP Volume 3' in 2008. His illustrious career has solidified him as a true stalwart of the scene, and highlights include a catalogue of four albums, countless EPs, curating the FabricLive052 album, and remixing Goldie, Dillinja and Lemon D. 

Manchester-based Fox is an MC that operates at the top level of UK bass music. With a catalogue marked by both depth and versatility, he’s recorded with elite artists such as Calibre, IAMDDB, My Nu Leng, Alix Perez, Zed Bias, Tyler Daley, Equiknoxx and others. 

'Play Fool' opens with Fox's unmistakable vocal delivery, channelling his Jamaican roots over a dub-infused cut. As the track progresses, it erupts into relentless drum loops, pulsating sub-bass, and piercing dub sirens.

As the first glimpse into Zero T & Fox's forthcoming EP, it sets the stage for a raw but precise project, capturing that vintage energy with modern clarity and poised to make waves across the scene.

Quaterhead, CHRSTPHR, James Chatburn- Summer Night

Mallin follows up his killer collab with Sam Dexter with another one of his classic deep house "lullabies." For this release, he teams up with Kevin McKay (something they have done before, back in 2020). The two of them enlist the vocal talents of Brazilian chanteuse Nyla and deliver a beautiful, original, deep house groove. Luscious Rhodes and a subtle, bumping bass form the backing for NYLA's heart-stopping top line. Add in layers of lilting percussion and some sparkling synth sprinkles, and you have a perfect Ibizan sunset anthem. Gorgeous.

Kevin McKay, Mallin, NYLA - Losing Control (Deep Extended Mix)

Max Chapman and Mischief deliver the Terrace Mix of their Defected debut ‘Whisper’ with Rag’N’Bone Man. Released in July 2025, ‘Whisper’ quickly hit half a million streams while making a splash in Australia with impressive support on Double J Radio. Now the producers, and good friends, Max Chapman and Mischief deliver a summery dub that spotlights the original’s brassy live instrumentation over a lively and wonky sub bass.

Vasil Ivanov The Editor is an electronic music artist hailing from Bulgaria. He began his musical journey at a young age with piano lessons by Zornitsa Radionova.The following year, he released his debut album with his band EDIT, which received critical acclaim and earned a nomination for club track of the year on MMtv. In 2005. 
Over the next several years, he continued to release many tracks and singles with his band EDIT, solidifying his reputation as a talented electronic music artist. 
In November 2010, The Editor left EDIT to pursue a solo career under his current artist name. He has since released numerous tracks and remixes on labels such as Insomnia FM, Balloon Records, Nueva, and George V Records. 
In 2014, he made a remix of Mozart's Opera Queen of the Night, which was featured on Buddha-Bar Classical Chillharmonic. He later earned a master's degree in Electronic Music & Sound Design from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he currently works as a mentor. 
In 2019, The Editor's sound design work on AudioKit Pro's synthesizer DIGITAL D1 HYBRID SYNTH earned the synth a spot in the Top 3 iOS Music Apps of 2018 Music Radar Awards. He also created sound packs for Traction's synths BioTek 2 and Subtractive, and was part of a sound design team with Taiho Yamada and Wolfram Franke, creating the factory sound bank for F.'em synth. Additionally, he created a sound bank for Taiho Yamada's synth MINIRAZE by MOK.
