Shook Planet’s Debut EP

Three fiery tracks to compliment Shook Planet’s debut single, Let It Go.

'Up All Night' - Probably the heaviest of the tracks on the EP. A rockin track about dealing with self-doubt and overcoming that by starting a band and hitting the road.

'So Hot So Cold' - This track draws more on the psychedelic-rock inspirations that are woven throughout the EP. The chorus, featuring high falsetto harmonies, end on a classic fade out.

'Full-Stop' - The guitar and vocal hooks come in right away, setting the tone for this retro-rock insprired bop. The lyrics bounce around through cities, flashbacks, and realizations that sometimes you just have to stop and take a step back.

You're Not Gonna Do It

SHOOK PLANET is a punk/post-punk band formed at the end of the pandemic by Ted Evans. 

Besides Ted on lead vocals, the band is Zach Sykes on guitar, Jackson Baird on bass, and Ryan Beattie on drums.

It started off in 2020 as a solo project for Ted, but when the world opened back up in 2022, he formed a band, wrote all new songs, and hit the road.

Ted's written, recorded, and performed with a number of different bands and artists since he first established himself in 2009 as a part of the vibrant music scene in Kingston, ON.

Over that time, Ted has maintained a steady level of hard-work on his music career, and has grown into a fierce and captivating front-person with a unique sense of style. 

With their debut EP, "Best Buddy" (2022,) Shook Planet established a new signature sound. Touching on classic psychedelic rock, punk, and modern post-punk, it's a large departure from the music Ted was releasing on his own. He said "the new style comes much more naturally to me as a writer and performer."

Now they're working together on brand new music to bring on the road and release into the world in 2023.
