Yogi P - Reverence (LVR007)

RAWSTREET's fine run of form continues with a new EP from A04F. The always emotive producer offers up two originals and INCUS remixes making this another superb package. Raised in Gibraltar, A04F Inhabits in a world of house, minimal & electro where groovy but emotional content is always key, and these new cuts prove that once more. 

Subtle Thoughts is a superb opener with a deep drum line and nice twinkling keys up top. The hi hats are icy, vocals are stitched in for extra depth and the whole thing is super smooth. Skywalker is another late night groover, with lush chords draped over the beats and a loose but deriving feel. It is heady and subtle stuff for those who know. INCUS remixes it into something more fresh and upbeat, with skipping drums and a ping in the kicks, discreet voices stitched in and sci-fi motifs are all adding detail.
