29번째 vurt podcast는 이탈리아 로마 출신의 딥테크노 스페셜리스트 Feral의 디제이 세트와 함께합니다. Hypnus 레코드의 초창기 멤버중 한명으로, 딥테크노 정신을 본질적으로 구현하였다고 평가되는 Feral은 최근 자신의 레이블 Aube Rouge를 설립하며 새로운 비전을 향해 한걸음 더 나아가고 있습니다.

The 29th vurt podcast features a DJ set by Feral, a deep techno specialist from Rome, Italy. As one of the earliest members of Hypnus Records, Feral, who is considered to have essentially embody the spirit of deep techno, is taking a step further with his new vision, recently founded his label Aube Rouge.

Marked by his awakened sensibility to depth, Feral consistently carries a thread of spirituality throughout his work.  He has inherently embodied the spirit of deep techno, of which defines Hypnus Records, through his passion for audio engineering, hardware experimentation and fascination for percussive instruments.  Feral’s affinity for the shamanic calls of the tribal drum have led him across the world to discover and nurture his defining sound. Finding comfort in the solitude of his studio, Feral’s visions emerge in the crepusular hours of his native city, Rome.  With a heightened sense of spatial awareness, the sounds of Feral unearth the path of his multidimensional world, transporting the listener to a haunting, yet grounding refuge within.

The sixth of the LDG Mix Series is experimental and ritualistic, hypnotic and abstract, and we feature Mike Parker, a master who has had a huge impact and influence on the techno scene for a long time.

explores the evolving landscape of dance music with one eye
sharply focused on its truest forms. Hailing from Stockholm,
Eriksson built up his reputation alongside live performance
partner Kuf. The pair set up Arsenik Records in 2015, creating a
vital platform to develop their vision of 21st-century techno on
their own terms.

@manuabeca is a Buenos Aires-born producer based in Berlin. In his artist's universe, emotional depth becomes a guide toward one's salvation. 
Inspired by a range of musical influences, he constantly works on refining his love for dance music. His signature sound incorporates elements from hypnotic, dub, and breakbeat techno, among other genres, creating an enchanting musical experience.
He recently released his first EP 'inner shiftings'. From encrypted and intriguing, to vocal and etheric; the 5-track conceptual piece encompasses his sense of sound as a substance to conduct highly emotive narratives.

Weaving music is an art form in which melodies and rhythms are woven into a tapestry of sound that evokes feelings. Just as a weaver combines threads of different textures into a fabric, a musician weaves different melodic elements into a cohesive and expressive piece.

𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 is an artist from Leipzig who has been DJing there for several years and is active within various structures.

His musical presentation has constantly changed and is influenced by his personal environment as well as his own recent experiences. 

Currently, his style is characterized by an atmospheric sound that builds up rather slowly. This is often accompanied by more minimalist and clear tool elements, which gradually increase. He draws his current genre influence from music and artists that have a hypnotic focus and stand out through the experimental design of low and medium frequencies.

How Finger's techno journey began...

As a graphic designer, he felt a deep authenticity towards techno, prompting him to travel to Berlin. During his first visit to Tresor, he experienced something indescribable while listening to Regis' music. The intricate movements of Regis' hands became visible through the sound system, and he felt the delicate mixing resonate with him, sending chills down his spine. Entranced by the mystical atmosphere, he gazed at the DJ booth where Regis, shrouded in thick fog, seemed to send him a silent message that he could faintly understand despite its wordless nature. That’s how Short Finger's journey begins into the world of techno.

Subsequently, he immersed himself in the electronic music scene in Seoul, working as a DJ, producer, and party organizer at various venues. He delved into the depth of electronic music and its societal impact, experiencing numerous coincidences that couldn't be explained by science, leading him to embrace techno with a near-religious fervor. His believes that the system is rooted in understanding the principles of a world that fluctuates like a sound wave, with notions of karma and balance, culminating in the conviction that music and art are movements resisting the power structures and oppression of freedom created by human greed. Therefore, regardless of the size of the party, once he steps onto the stage with the belief that his music can protect humanity from war and competition, fostering a euphoric society.

With these ideas in his mind, he founded his own party called Fair Trade. Inspired by the European music scene from the '90s, he hopes that this movement will reach Asia and transform his hometown, Seoul into a place that understands and supports artists. Fair Trade aims to encourage the audience to discover the synergy between art and electronic music by installing various local artists' works, such as fine art, painting, and audio-visual pieces, on the dance floor. It also connects commercial communities to create a sustainable system for artists' work.
