Shouts! is a project by San Francisco producer and visual artist Jason C. Apple. After many years of producing as Ground Control, Shouts! was created as an outlet for his weirder, more emotive music that nevertheless works a dance floor. Focusing on deep, vocal house and garage, more than anything, Shouts! is about trying to figure out how a sound becomes a feeling. Shouts! first EP, "Do Your Thing," was released in 2013 on Hot N Heavy Recordings, though he really hit scene when his unofficial remix of Jesse Ware’s “What You Won’t Do For Love” went viral on Soundcloud. He has since released a second EP, “Something Real” on 9G Records, as well as remixes of Mako's "Tropicality" on Hot N Heavy, and a garage rework of Sirkus Sirkuz and March Against's "The Tempest" on 9G. Pushing the limits of a DJ set by incorporating drum machines and live visuals, Shouts! has performed at clubs and festivals up and down the West Coast, including Lightning In a Bottle, Outside Lands, and What the Festival.
