Dodd - 12AM Thursday @ Ironic Spin 2025

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my set from Notsilly Festival on Saturday 12th July. I dug deep with this one and pulled out some true beauties from my library which encapsulates my sound. Out of the 60+ sets I’ve published to SoundCloud this is THE ONE. Light and dark, hard and soft, magical instruments, tribal drum programming, sounds from nature, influences from Indian, African and Middle Eastern cultures, remixes and edits of classics in my style, alongside tracks and acapellas with beautiful lyrics.

It was a scorching hot couple of days and a real privilege to play to my favourite festival crew, some of whom I’ve known for 9 years since first going to Noisily Festival in 2016. 450 of us came together in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire on the River Soar, off the back of Noisily Festival being cancelled by Live Nation.

It was a real triumph, especially as it was all organised in 2 months and completely sold out. The organisers even had to secure additional fields so we could up the capacity and number of stages. Hats off to Vish, Lawrence, Adam and all the amazing people that helped make this happen. You are all legends in my eyes. The first ever Notsilly Festival will be etched into my brain forever and I can’t wait to return next year.

DEPTH. PERCEPTION Returns in 2025: Live Electronic Music from AJ Hackett’s SkyPark Bungy Jumping featuring DOPPEL LIVE.
 
We’ve been working towards this moment for a long time, and we’re proud to finally launch the next chapter of the DEPTH. PERCEPTION series — filmed in one of the most iconic locations in Australia.  
 
For this very special episode, we packed our bags and headed north to the tropical rainforest of Cairns, teaming up with the legendary crew at AJ Hackett’s SkyPark — home to Australia’s only bungy jumping site — to create something truly unique.  
 
On top of the tower, 164 feet above the canopy, we welcomed DOPPEL, one of Australia’s most respected festival artists, to deliver an exclusive live electronic music performance. Known for his deep, melodic, and progressive sounds, DOPPEL brings a set filled with unreleased material and timeless productions from his highly regarded discography.  
 
Since launching the PERCEPTION series, we’ve been waiting for the right time and place to showcase DOPPEL’s musical journey — and this was it. Elevated in every sense of the word.  
 
This episode blends the beauty of Far North Queensland's natural environment with the countries unique and distinctive music culture. It’s a celebration of underground electronic music, Australian landscapes, and the artists shaping the future of sound. 
 
A massive thank you to the incredible crew at SkyPark Cairns, especially Charlie, Jayde E and Jayde H, all the jump deck crew and everyone behind the scenes who made this collaboration possible.

“Cairns is one of the places that the Australian outdoor scene and its unique flavour of house & techno really originated as well as the hometown of so many of my friends and inspirations in the industry so it felt like a natural place for it all to come together for this recording. It’s also been a place that has welcomed me with open arms since the beginning of my career, so getting back up there to play tunes and showcase the incredible natural beauty of the place was really special. This is a collection of a few new bits I’ve been working on and playing around recently mixed in with a couple of classics. Our Chi Wow Wah Town Winter set in Melbourne ended up being a very emotional set for not only DeSàint and myself, but for a lot of the crowd too. We spent months putting this set together  and wanted to play some of the music that really affected us growing up live. We weren't really happy with the live recording so wanted to give it a spit and polish to give it a truer listening experience. Hope you enjoy....
