Based on a true story.
One winter, a french speaking family, mother, father, and two boys, moves to a predominantly english speaking town. The patriarch declares they shall now speak english at every opportunity.
The two brothers venture out to play in the frigid, snowy, wonderland. Rough-housing in the banks uncovers a deceased, and solidly frozen, feline. One of the boys seizes the frozen beast, swings, and strikes his unwitting sibling in the back of the head with the chilly kitty. Beaten and offended, the stricken boy runs off.
Upon returning home, the aggressor is greeted angrily by his father.
"What is your matter!?" the old man exclaims; "You hit your brother, in the back of the face, with a freeze cat!?"
