Phyr Transmission continues its series with a powerful one-hour Live Set from Madrid’s own PWCCA.
Known for his relentless approach to techno, PWCCA delivers a session packed with deep, driving rhythms and intricate sound design, all amplified by the show’s signature flashy club visuals. 


For this special occasion, PWCCA recorded a Live Set, showcasing his dynamic performance skills and spontaneous creativity. The result is a masterclass in tension and release, guiding the audience through a landscape of pounding basslines, layered textures, and expertly crafted climaxes. The visuals elevate the experience, creating a sensory journey that blurs the line between music and motion.

PWCCA is a veteran DJ and producer from Madrid, Spain. Active in the electronic music scene since 1995, he first explored progressive and house sounds before embracing the underground techno movement. Influenced by legends like James Ruskin, Regis, and Surgeon, PWCCA developed a signature style that fuses hard-hitting beats with expressive, meticulously layered melodies.

Over the years, his productions have appeared on respected labels such as Warm Up Recordings, Mord, Semantica, and his own Hardtools and Inducted Waves imprints. 

PWCCA’s music is regularly supported by top artists including Oscar Mulero, Surgeon, and Richie Hawtin, and his tracks are celebrated for their intensity, complexity, and emotional depth. His unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of techno has earned him a loyal following in Spain and beyond.

"Dark sounds let me explore unknown and hidden feelings. For me, darkness isn't scary, it's mysterious and powerful. I want to create a deep, hypnotic atmosphere.and feel like diving into shadows, not avoiding them." This quote from Shintarø Kanie, one of the finest contemporary Japanese techno producers, crystallizes not only his personal musical philosophy but also vividly parallels the deep Japanese cultural appreciation of shadows, mystery, and darkness. While Western cultures make a habit out of brightness and the elimination of shadow from both space and life, the Japanese make an artform out of cultivating and exploring the substance of the unseen. This is expressed powerfully within Shintarø Kanie's music, which possessed a supernatural, ethereal, ghostly character, constituting an irreducivly unique sound in the globa fabric of techno. His music is a vehicle for existential journeys into haunted spaces. In this episode we begin by positioning Kanie's music within the wider Japanese cultural and musical context and then have a short conversation about his approach before entering into a engulfing 30min mix of his music.
