Nueva welcomes Brooklyn electronic artist // to the family with a strong helping of peak-time underground techno in his ‘Human Interaction’ EP.

A growling baseline churns deeply beneath the title track, Human Interaction, as // takes us on a journey of twisting, hypnotic melody, precise synthesis work, and forward-driving percussion, assured to keep the underground entranced at peak time.

Medusa slams in with a steady, rolling sub bass bedrock as swelling textures intensity beneath. At the first turn, // opens the atmosphere with grooving sequences that take us higher as a female vocal unravels us towards clarity. In it’s final break, the venomous snakes surrounding Medusa awaken, swirling into a frenzy and crash back into the groove, now twisted and poised for dance floor destruction.

After a string of acclaimed releases on Token and a selection of remixes, Ø [Phase] released his debut album 'Frames Of Reference' on Token last fall. On the A-side Rødhåd delivers an epic 10 minute interpretation of the first single ‘Perplexed’, while Robert Hood delivers a second, more minimalistic take on “Dirtro II” for the flip.

Preceding their album ‘Turns’ – out via Ostgut Ton on 25 November 2016 – Barker & Baumecker return with a double faced two track 12“. “Love Hertz” is a blissful, uplifting, melodic and – at times – bluesy UK Bass-inspired cut, shuffling and playfully flicking throughout. The record’s alternate lead track “Cipher” on the flip side is a rework of a two-part track from the forthcoming ‘Turns’ LP: while the album’s “Encipher & Decipher” puts focus on the home listening-aspect, this 12“es’ “Cipher” is made for the club. The track’s atmospheric build-up eventually turns in favor of a heavy, dark kick drum and multi-layered percussion, feeling at times as if the duo’s hammering onto Berghain’s steel staircase.
