Soon after arriving in Marburg in the year 2010, Mate aka Matteo Barutzki became a member of the Marburg based Rhythmusgiganten collective. There he was granted the chance and opportunity to share his passion for all kinds of music behind the decks. Music always has been a daily companion and played a big role in one way or another and led to output in long dancing nights. Over time and with great patience a development took place and the energy derived from these circumstances manifested in regular performances in and around Marburg.
Inspired by many journeys around the world and all kinds of live music, the sound reflects experiences that have been made and tries to overcome boundaries, where there shouldn’t be any. It ranges from slowhouse, over oriental melodies to Latin American rhythms, mixed with some deep features and is supposed to create a journey that travels around the world.

Odd One Out requires me to sometimes release records that are a bit...odd. So after the 2 first releases I decided it’s time to unleash a hint of Gouda. The track asks ”Is This Trance?” and is fuelled by some gargantuan bouncy saw riffs that I picked up from my 13-year old brain which at the time was listening to Southside Spinners and Gatecrasher compilations. Slightly slower and more mature, like some of my favourite cheeses are, this is quite close to musical Gorgonzola with some hedonistic grapes.
