Tell Me. is a downtempo boom bap vibe that rides over a piano hook that I layered some lofi vocals and synthy horn lines over. It features a distinct vocal sample I created through an AI program using a voice similar to that of 50 Cent that says, “Tell me its real, that feeling that we feel”. Essentially this line is asking for reassurance that euphorically-connected feelings of happiness, trust, closeness to others and enhanced emotional empathy won’t ever go away

We are pleased to unveil the first member of the collective, Soul.Method. 

Andy McBride, aka Soul.Method, is an Electronic Soul producer from Denver, CO.  His background in software and electrical engineering piqued his interest in homemade analog synthesizers and MIDI instruments. Combined with his love for soulful records and sampling vintage sounds this creates a mixture that fuses past generations with modern electronic music.

We are pleased to welcome our second roster addition, SNDY. SNDY is a project created by Mike Sandoval.   Mike is a Colorado native, and has been attending electronic shows since 2011.  After seeing countless shows, Mike finally began learning how to produce electronic music in 2017 and started releasing music under the moniker "SNDY" in 2020.  Influenced by his favorite producers Pretty Lights, Griz and Opiuo; the project uses a hip-hop and soul fusion combined with break beats and heavy bass to create a vibe that retains the emotional complexities of electro-soul that first peaked his interest in electronic music.

Releasing his debut album on Michal Menert's Super Best Records label in 2015, he carefully curates vinyl samples of 60's and 70's funk and soul as a foundation for his production. Fusing traditional sample based hip-hop techniques with warm analog synthesis and hard hitting beats, he sets the table for a sound within the Electro Soul movement he calls, 
Funk-tron-a-delic.

The Cruise Control series will highlight some of my favorite sounds as an homage to the countless days I've spent behind the wheel bopping around the country cranking chunes as I go. 

Clocking in at just over 30 minutes this mix is a showcase of some of my favorite Hip-Hop inspired, low-end driven music spanning several genres and tempos. Some have said it's deep and melodic but also booty bouncing, I don’t disagree.

When playing out, Shuj Roswell Live takes the musical experience to the next level by bringing live instrumentation into the mix. Mark plays guitar and is accompanied on stage by drummer and good friend, Eric Imbrosciano. Eric comes from a hip-hop, funk, and jazz background originating from his early years gigging in and around the New York music scene. He injects a soulful vibe into the Shuj Roswell live sound from laid back hip-hop grooves to drum & bass breaks. Eric also performs in the jazz-fusion quartet, Space Orphan. You might have run into him as he hosts several open jams around the Denver area

In addition to his drummer Eric, Shuj Roswell Live consists of emcee, J. Shook, who’s recorded vocals on several Shuj Roswell tracks and a rotating who’s who on saxophone, trumpet and trombone. Mark recorded with and sampled his live band in the studio on the EP, Shuttlecock
