Dearest Lord, You’ve Called Us Here - Song

To the brothers and sisters who are in the service. 

There comes a time that while we are enjoying doing the ordained way of the God, keeping in touch of preaching the gospel, taking care of the new ones, and other services in the church, the world in some way will destruct us with some thorns and thistles (anxious thoughts especially of the future ahead of us) that may possibly choke us and put us down. But the Lord Jesus knows what are the things in our mind that leads us to anxiety. When such time comes, He will comfort and shepherd us. "I am your great provider"- this is His promise that will not meant to be broken. This is the shepherding from GOD.

Some time in our service, the burden will become heavier and harder, which causes us to be somewhat discouraged just like of what Elijah had experienced. But at the time that we realized that we are not alone, we will be encouraged again to continue the work that the Lord had bestowed upon us. We have the saints as our companion who will sympathize in our condition. They will lift us up and help us to fight the battle in front of us. The enemy will not prevail if we remain being "with those"! This is the shepherding from the SAINTS.

For us to go on in our spiritual service, we need these 2 kinds of shepherding- VERTICAL shepherding (from God) and HORIZONTAL shepherding (from the SAINTS). This is our STRENGTH in our service.

We are being SHEPHERDED in order for us to SHEPHERD others in a genuine way. This is our MIGHT.
