When people hear "Hip Hop", they often think about Gangsta Rap.

But actually a lot of Hip Hop is a modern interpretation of Funk, Soul, Jazz, Blues, Gospel and some Latin and Caribbean influences because of the Afro-Americans who came from these countries.

This journey weaves all these influences, with songs from the late 80s all the ways to 2024.

🌬️This short  set is a mirror of what is alive within me,  a cycle of grief, sadness, hope, joy and surrender.
I observe what is happening on this planet and how on one side humanity is losing its sense of worth. And yet on the other side , hope arises – the vision of a new Earth.

Amidst the heaviness, joy begins to grow, because good forces are coming together, to initiate a turning point.

From this current emerges something deeper, greater than words: it’s Faith
 Faith that flows into surrender.

I believe that the human being is here for one reason – his human experience.

That is what it’s about: to feel, to sense, that everything present in the field is part of this journey.

The heaviness. The joy. The silence. and the  movement.

Grateful for this life.

Tempo  Music Therapy.  I knew track I produced to go with the way I'm feeling.  It's my version of meditative music.  My meditation methods include music 50% of the time.

In-Lightened

You are invited to dance not only the movement, but also the pause between them.
To slow down.
To give your body time to listen, as if meeting itself for the first time.

When the music stops leading and movement begins to rise from within, something shifts.
The pause becomes a quiet space where everything external fades, and you can start to hear how you breathe, what matters, and what wants to emerge.

In dance, this moment is especially vivid: the music softens, the body listens, and stillness becomes alive.
If you allow yourself not to rush, life will gently show you where to move next.

"Que ritmo rico!" - Dutch Rhythm Combo returns with a stunning new remix EP, which features two tracks of his acclaimed "Sounds Of The Carribean" reworked by Ray Mang and Dubben.

Ray Mang, one of London’s most prolific disco dub vanguards, kicks off the "Sounds Of The Carribean Remixes" with an epic reinterpretation of Dutch Rhythm Combo’s "Cartagenera". In his 8 minute plus version, Ray Mang extends the track to a spiritual, deep journey, that breathes the spirit of Balearic in a 21st century shape. If clubs like Baia D’Angeli, the mothership of Cosmic Disco, would still be running today, the Ray Mang remix of "Cartagenera" would be a current peak time tune.

The dub outfit Dubben, who rose to prominence with their rework of Juca Chavez’ "Take Me Back To Piaui" (which was used in a global ad for Adidas) , remixed "Disco Tropical". The Dubben Mix feat. Edu K comes in their trademark original rockers style. Adding horns, a skanking disco shuffle, their remix resembles Joe Gibb’s dub efforts in disco.
The 12“ Vinyl also features a dub version of Dubben’s remix.
