Kupalinka is a 100 years old folk song of Belarus. The creators of the song were killed during Stalin times. The same is going now with people of culture in Belarus, where more than 1500 cultural activists are now tortured in prison just for their love to our mother tongue and out root culture.

We made Kupalinka as a voice of Kali Goddess to support each of us who is in danger and frustration now. Keep the vibe! Dance in front of your fears and keep each other in focus. Only together we may save our culture and not to dissolve in Russia. Keep strong, Belarus! We are the voice of our Land.

“Me, Mother” is an ethno-electronic album, which contains ancient songs that were used by women in various rituals during pagan times in Belarus. All dialects of the language are saved. The music on this album can be briefly described as “mystic, deep and ambient”. The German press called it “melancholy feminist songs”.

The album is based on the work of two project vocalists who recorded acoustic songs during pregnancy. Both singers were waiting for their daughters and created something like a home album for daughters. In addition to the voices of the girls, eco-sounds were used in the work: the sounds of nature, other voices and the ritual instrument chakapa (it comes from shamanic culture of Peru).

Later, the acoustic album was arranged by sound producer Shuma (Alexis Scorpio) and he made it a serious electronic album. “Me, Mother” is a sound mystery that we dedicate to our Mother Earth.
