Actually, we think it’d be pretty chill if he took the reigns on the “the world’s unique soundtrack” and made it sound a little more like this velvety, floor-shaking, party-starting, spooky, hypnotic house track GHOST he delivered us on the back of a singing Alec Ounsworth from Indie Rock Band CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH.

SONNY FODERA REMIXES CLAPTONE AND MYLO’S 2020 HIT COLLABORATION OF ‘DROP THE PRESSURE’

Australian DJ and producer ​Sonny Fodera is the latest artist to remix the hit ​Claptone collaboration with ​Mylo ​of the classic ​‘Drop The Pressure’​, out ​10th July​.

Fodera delivers a euphoric, piano-led rework of ​‘Drop The Pressure’​, channeling a sound that’s been crafted with the terraces of Ibiza in mind. It follows a recent remix from German DJ and producer ​Purple Disco Machine​, which has over ​500K streams​, while the original spent an entire month at ​#1​ on the ​Beatport ​charts.

Best known for his remix work, including his reimagining of ​Gregory Porter’s ‘Liquid Spirit’​, after releasing ​‘Fantast’​, his second studio album in 2018, ​Claptone’s ​uplifting and vocal heavy style of house has gone on to rack up millions of plays on ​YouTube​, with his ​Spotify currently enjoying ​3 million monthly listeners​. More recently he has remixed tracks from superstars Dua Lipa​, ​Mark Ronson​, ​Michael Kiwanuka ​and more, as well as launching online cooking series ​‘Quarantine Canteen’ and the immersive weekly live series, ​Claptone In The Circus during a busy lockdown period.

The Venetian mask-donning producer launched the immersive and otherworldly ​‘The Masquerade’ events in 2017, with guests including ​Black Coffee, Claude von Stroke, MK, Dennis Ferrer and ​Pete Tong ​joining the fun across showcases in Australia, South America, North America, London and Amsterdam, to name a few. As a Los Angeles native, SHUMR has become a strong and powerful force in the music industry. 2013 marks the origin of SHUMR’s musical journey, at which time SHUMR began DJing at small events throughout the Los Angeles area. As time went on, partygoers began to notice SHUMR’s talent and creativity. As such, SHUMR went on to DJ at larger events and became a regularly booked DJ in Los Angeles. 

However, SHUMR was not satisfied with merely DJing at various events. SHUMR had larger passions. Specifically, SHUMR’s drive and creativity led to the start of his journey into music production. Ever since 2015, SHUMR has produced various songs, specifically in the house and techno genres. Some of SHUMR’s inspirations include Solomun, Chris Lake, Vintage Culture, Michael Bibi, Hot Since 82, Tchami, and Rüfüs Du Sol, among others. 

Ultimately, SHUMR’s overall goal when DJing and producing is to deepen people’s enjoyment for music in a meaningful and spiritual way. Listening to SHUMR’s music will inevitably lead the listener to a deeper spiritual dimension and understanding of music.
