Listen to the journey. Conquer the darkness and reclaim the light.

Inspired by video game soundtracks and an appreciation of progressive house, here is my eclectic entry into the 20 Years Of Anjunabeats Fan Mix Competition. I found out about this competition just a week before the deadline, so pardon the rough production.

My selections for this mix form an archetype of a hero's journey:

A dreamer sets off to make the most of their life and gets tangled in a web of fate that is much more dire and significant than ever expected. Along the way, allies are made and friendships are formed. They encounter adversaries and suffer losses. The road they travel takes them to strange places and unveils sorrowful truths.

Conquering the darkness requires sacrifice, but in the end, the resolve of our heroes is greater. The dreamer looks back at the path they took and realizes that it all was to make them stronger. With a final all-out assault, the heroes band together to banish evil and restore light to the world.

I've been a huge fan of Above & Beyond for many years now. My love of trance led me to OceanLab, and then Anjunadeep introduced me to the wonderful world of house music. I want to thank the people at Anjunabeats for the chance to become part of their history. I am most grateful!
