His love of sound has given birth to Paraffin, a record label and event series pioneering the very best of Persian talent. Faced with a raft of government restrictions and foreign sanctions which would make many a promoter balk, passion is fuel to Fathi’s mission to bring people together. Exarde’s just keep it spinnin’. This time our protagonist was originally born in Transylvania, so he knows something about the dancing vampires you often see at parties. This is confirmed by the fact that his release also contributed a lot to the gothic side of the dancefloor. 

MAR.C is obsessed with dark sounds but specifically loves a guitar, acid and weirdly uplifting electro sounds. So, by his words this EP is exactly concentrated on frequencies between these two spectrums. On the remix duty’s we got P.O with his interpretation which gives an even more unique vibe as a groover for the closing scene.

somebody3lse is a vinyl collector and DJ with over 30 years of experience. Growing up in London, the local soundsystems in streets and parks on their Islington doorstep and at Notting Hill Carnival were heavily influential in shaping their taste.

Starting out on London’s pirate radio Rave FM in 1990, they now DJ on CKUT and La Face B. Current projects include the Vinyl Inclusion Project, demystifying vinyl collecting and DJing, and moodswings, an event embracing leftfield sounds and self-expression. 

A true collector - music is their passion and love language, shared both on the dance floor and over the airwaves. We are honored to have Jan on the series.
