'This mix is influenced by working at 586 records, carrying and digging through huge record collections, listening to records for hours on end and getting a tip or two from the boss Tony Daly himself.  

Those collections really helped me grow a love for early swinging US house and garage especially the stuff from the early 90's. I tip the hat to some of my favourite artists in this mix including Blaze, Round One and Davina just to name a few. Expect big pianos, soulful vocals, hip house attitude, eyes closed bliss, acid train chugs and a unifying swing groove throughout.'

Shy bairns is a strong community of young people, primarily based around music, fashion and the arts located in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We throw parties, take photos, DJ, and just have fun along the way. 

Shy Bairns was originally set up to document youth culture throughout the pandemic as a lockdown project. We attended many illegal raves and house parties capturing it all on film. The name Shy Bairns comes from the Geordie phase “Shy Bairns Get Nowt” which means (Shy kids get nothing in life)
