I wrote this song 7 years ago.

The first words that came to my mind were "I feel none." 
I was depressed. It was getting to me that I had always really wanted to be a musician and had never even tried. I was reaching my thirties feeling that I was stuck and going nowhere.
I began to recall moments from my childhood, especially the walks to the woods near my house, where I would go alone to sing my favorite songs so that no one would hear me. 
I was too shy to sing in front of anyone. The trees were the perfect audience - they didn't judge me.

Returning to these memories, I realized that all my life I had been mentally hiding in this forest - and that I needed to come out of it to feel alive again.

So I decided to burn down my mental forest with all my fears left in it. 
So that I could finally say "I fear none!" instead of "I feel none"...

And that's what this song is about. 
It's a story of my healing process. My evolution from dreamer to activist. 
Now my mission is to encourage shy people through my songs to do what they truly desire. 

I feel grateful that I am finally sharing "Burned Alive" with the world!
