Nadia is an Iranian-born, UAE-raised, then Montreal-based visual artist and DJ. She gravitates towards a diverse array of musical styles, as demonstrated by her decades worth of music collection. Within that selection, one can find anything, from rock to hip-hop to ambient to soul to house and techno. This, and her love for attending festivals and underground clubs across Europe and North America, inevitably led her to start seriously pursuing music four years ago. Montreal created the perfect landscape to push through her musical boundaries. In reference to the underlying electronic musical style, Nadia connects the most with hypnotic rhythms, jazz infused elements with deep bass lines and transportive cosmic sounds, regardless of the intersectionality found within her. This is considered to be the beginning of her musical endeavors. She aspires to hone her artistic practice alongside music, all the while continuing to have a deep admiration for record selection.

As Hallie Flanagan once said “the power of radio is not that it speaks to millions, but that it speaks intimately and privately to each one of those millions.” And we love this medium as it gives us the power to travel without borders and host wonderful souls without limitations. 

“Beshknow Radio takeover on Soho Radio” is a one-week curated lineup of 13 programs freshly cooked by Beshknow residents and invited guests for Soho radio. 

The first day of the program starts with a collection of Iranian songs from early 70s to the Late 90s as a warmup and continues with eclectic live performances of local bands from Tehran. 

The following days of the week are dedicated to listeners with a diverse appetite in electronic music, experimental sounds and dance tunes.

V.e.d.a.d is a DJ who lives in Tehran. he plays since 2012 in private parties + some underground techno festivals like GemFestival, Georgia.

from 2012 he started chasing his dream + researched about electronic music + started his DJ career. after few yrs of DJing + studying about so many genres + artists, now he knows the detroit techno, romanian microhouse, chicago house, electro + minimal r so closed 2 his route. so he started digging + drowning in these culture + life path + became successful. as
he played in so many underground events in Tehran now he's more experienced + expert + ready2rock more.

This track is based on a 37-second groove by Paulina, after she started learning Ableton Live a few weeks back and a couple of online sessions I did with her, she came up with an out of the box beat, a nasty groove that motivated me to produce a full track around it and this is the result of it. enjoy.
