As you probably noticed it, the strange situation we are living in has quite impacted our regularity in terms of podcasts.
With this 2hours15minutes set by outstanding DJ & editor J.A.Z. (@j-a-z-1) we hope to balance a bit our silence from the past weeks.

In this mix that J.A.Z. nicknamed "Am I ever gonna dance again?", he pulled together a pretty full-on dance tape where he tried to find again the fun he had with the stuff he played live.
Job's done, ending up with this 2 hours mix as he couldn't stop playing, mixing together some real standards and a bunch of his newer digs.

MM Cast 02: COYOTE

Is it Balearic? Recordings' capos Timm Sure and Ampo have been on the "Balearic Scene" even before the word "Balearic" got fashionable some years ago.  They started as djs in the early 90's becoming residents at the historical "Venus" in Nottingham, it was in 2002 when they became producers and from then on they started producing tracks under the moniker Coyote, being responsable of notorious works signed on "International Feel", "Needwant" and "Music for Dreams" to name a few, and of course on their own imprint "Is It Balearic? Recordings"

Was in 2006 when "IIB?" started and since then, and a long with the sublabels "Über" and "Magic Wand", 15 years of pure Balearic Bliss where the "brithish-downtempo-maestros" have featured artists from the likes of Max Essa, Danielle Baldelli, Dj Rocca, Bonnie & Klein, Mori Ra and Anton Klint to name a few.

2021 has been a very prolific year for Coyote, delivering an amazing EP "Return to life" and another remixes ep of their LP "Buzzard Country", both records on "Is It Balearic? Recordings". They also have been working for MM Discos doing a magical rework of Bonnie & Klein's Albatros

The contribution of the Nottingham based producers to the scene is unquestionable and crucial, being a constant influence for dj's and producers who decided to move forward with the sound that artists like Dj Alfredo, Paul Oakenfold or Jose Padilla discovered back in the days from the "white Island" to rest of the world.

When we talk about their sound, a question comes to our head,,"Is it Balearic?", of course it is, but more than this, this is COYOTE Sound!!

Globetrotters, time travelers, fun seekers, vinyl diggers, dance lovers… Many are the types of beings that thrive in this sonic culture of ours, finding shelter and happiness in this sensorial and emotional universe fostered by musical communion. A noble purpose that is so powerful that it does not solely rely on the collective's togetherness to exist, each of its members carry that same seminal drive in everything they do individually. Something we can perfectly perceive in this episode of Gop Cast where Simon, one of its members who recently relocated to São Paulo, manages to encapsulate the eclectic excellence of their musical abundance in a stellar mix of moods, grooves and everything in between.
