We’ve got a very special release for you this month on Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters imprint in the form of a new EP series titled, ‘Generation Z’. This new EP concept will bring together new and up and coming artists who we are looking to showcase on the label. Our first offering comprises three killer tracks from UK artists BluePrint, Because of Art and James Organ. Kicking the series off is BluePrint with his track, ‘The Mind Is As Deep As You Make It’ which offers snaking synth leads combined with atmospheric chords and tension building snares that combine with warping sub tones to reveal a powerful, peak time production. Next up is DJ and production duo, Because of Art with their track ‘Elevate’ which offers all manner of stepping chords and arpeggiated synths. It’s a big metallic track that is built on twisting, turning, crashing drums and is designed perfectly for maximum effect in strobe lit clubs. Last but not least, we have James Organ with his track, ‘Faded’ which offers crisply mixed percussion and a pulsating low-end which underpins a series of hypnotic synth hooks that grow throughout with subtle melodic hints and muffled vocals adding to the atmospherics of the track.

Hailing from Birmingham, One Records has been a purveyor of quality underground house and techno for over a decade. This year One enters its tenth year coinciding with the 50th release on the label. Since 2009 One Records’ output has been increasingly global and has played host to the likes of XDB, iO, Akufen, Dewalta and Thomas Melchior and the label’s more closer affiliates Voigtmann, Yamen & EDA, Jack Wickham & Cab drivers. 2020 will see some new faces on board for the Tenth Anniversary Compilation including music from Mathew Jonson, Desert Sound Colony, Urulu, Adam Pits, Thoma Bulwer, Anna Wall, Monika Ross and label owner Subb-an.

The Berlin-based producer, DJ, label head and rising talent Haider Masroor’s music is informed by perpetual motion and a deep-rooted passion for dance music in all its forms. On his latest EP ‘The Muses Come Out At Night’ Haider pieces together a diverse range of influences that highlights his versatility, virtuosity and effortlessly cool flair.

Opener ‘Bakamono’ is a soaring, blissful slice of after-hours house with ghostly vocals that conjure classic Detroit sounds with padded synth washes and an irresistible groove; a unique and glistening revamp on a classic style.

The straight up acid and electro blazer ‘The Oven Door Broke’ offers up a full-bodied synth line with airtight hi-hats topped with stuttered bass; a headfirst dive into Haider’s supremely honed peak time energy.

‘U Trippin’, as the title suggest, is a more intoxicated piece where a diverse range of styles coalesce; deep bass sine hits glide under woozy, reversed vocal chops and aphex style breaks.

Belfast DJ and producer Richie Blacker joins Danny Howard's Nothing Else Matters this autumn with his debut single on the label, 'Hysteria'. Finding recent success on Skream's Of Unsound Mind, Sasha's Last Night On Earth, Eklektisch, Global Underground, Frequenza and Runnin Wild, Richie now gives us 'Hysteria'; a deep and emotional melodic rollercoaster that takes the listener on a journey from start to finish, showcasing his intricate percussive skills, hypnotic synth lines, warming atmospheric drums and vocals that ebb and flow throughout the near 7 minute masterpiece. A record that was written for the club environment but sounds equally as good listening at home!

With a date in place for clubs in England to open (finally!), what better way to look forward to June 21st than with some fresh dancefloor-destined trax.
