The beginning of and end

This is another beat that I’m not sure where the samples came from. It’s the second beat I crafted for my live show and I had some real creative vision when selecting the sounds and populating the 16 pads of Bank B on my MPC2000XL. It all started with the vocal samples which I thought sounded like something The Alchemist would use so I originally named it “Alc Beat.” I layered some bass behind the vocal samples that hits in unison with them in the sequence and that really set it off. I selected the drums accordingly to give it some good thump and a crispy snare and hi hat, and most importantly for performance purposes; I selected the classic 808 or 909 style toms and added the fill. The final product is honestly one of my best beats and people go crazy when they hear/see it live. I would love to unleash it during a beat battle. Shits HARD!....

-this studio version of this beat is conformed to a metronomic sequence. 
-in concert this beat (except the Hi Hat) is played in its entirety with no metronome or looping.
