We are so glad to have Vivian Blush (@vivianblush) joining us for the next take in the ToofTape Saga with this electrifying and diverse mix of electro, techno and hardcore acid bombs !

Vivian Blush is a techno and electro DJ from the Northeast of the United States. In 2017 she started off DJing sets for goth and queer parties where she eventually met a welcoming crew of DJs in the New England techno and underground dance music scene and started playing harder styles like industrial techno, broken beat electro and drum and bass influenced sounds at warehouse venues and secret farm raves. She played her first live set in 2020 and is slowly building up her home production studio with hopes of releasing music in the future.

When we think of it, her DJ sets are just like a real Dutch kapsalon experience. Think of the crispyness of the fries and shawarma, the smoothness of the melted cheese and creamy garlic sauce, the spicyness of the sambal and the freshness of the lettuce. It's always a real treat.

Raised in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and of Cape Verdean descent, Nala Brown has been cultivating a sound that explores the intersection of house, techno and bass earning her the title of “Rotterdams rising rave star”. She's also part of Rotterdam collective AMPFEMININE, which aims to add a lovely variety of color in nightlife.

Like the origin of his DJ and production name, London-based Irishman Céilí is no stranger to a good old knees up.

One of the regular DJs soundtracking early mornings at techno mainstay Jaded, Céilí's rough n ready (pun intended) blend of techno, acid and fast-paced electronics seeps from his record bag directly into his own musical output. Over the last few years he's notched up solo releases and collaboration for labels like TITDM, Ophism, Obscuur and Lobster Theremin channeling his love for pounding rhythms that are rich with melody.

He takes care of this week's Wednesday Alternative mix and he doesn't let up. No holds barred from the off, Céilí moves through whirring acid techno, crunchy industrial rhythms and rumbling electro — tune in, strap in, and please keep your arms inside the vehicle at all times!
