Man O To from the elusive producer NU is finally set to be released as a single on Crosstown Rebels. Since its inclusion on Acid Pauli’s Get Lost Compilation in 2012 the track has clocked up tens of millions of Youtube hits and now heralds in a much coveted artist album due later this year. Remix treatment comes from Parisian producer ​Pépé Bradock and live artist Be Svendsen.

A nomad of modern times, ​NU​ has travelled the continents with his diverse music to unearth his imitable style. Repres​ented heavily in ​Man O To, where instruments amalgamate with electronic production to become solid rhythms. An extra spark come from its lyrics, outtakes from an old Persian poem from the well known poet Rumi, who speaks of true happiness in love here performed by Ghazal Shakeri from an original recording made by renowned French composer Armand Amar.

Julien Auger aka ​Pépé Bradock​ is a widely respected producer best known for his anthemic releases on French label Kif Recordings which are still sampled heavily to this day. As a DJ, he has spun in almost every major club in the world and is known for his versatile, and mesmerising style. Bradock conjures a trippy remix and dub version of ​Man O To and fitting ode to the original.

Be Svendsen​ aka Lasse Bruhn Svendsen broke through into the international scene in 2014 with a series of productions and enchanting live performances at some of the most avant garde places to play on the earth, such as BOOM festival, Fusion, Burning Man, Symbiosis, Rainbow Serpent and AfrikaBurn. ​“‘Man O To’ is a track that has touched th​ e hearts of many, including my own,’ Svendsen explained.​ ‘Being asked to add a new chapter to its story is both an honor and my greatest challenge to date.”

Após 3 anos estudando produção musical e experimentando fazer Edits e mashups para inserir como um diferencial dentro do meu repertório, decidi tirar do papel alguns projetos durante a quarentena. Foi quando o meu amigo Gabriel Pacheco (Pache), me convidou para fazer uma session de studio via zoom, e percebi que tínhamos muitas coisas em comum, dando início a essa parceria de sucesso! 
O nosso primeiro projeto juntos, foi este EP de remixes da música “Keep On Rising”.

Quando o Pache me ligou e perguntou se eu tinha ideia de alguma música legal para remixar, ela me veio na hora! Keep On Rising é uma música que fez parte do início da minha carreira (2007), a versão do Ian Carey, que originou o nosso remix, foi lançada em 2008, e tive pouquíssimas oportunidades de tocá-las em clubs, pois nessa época eu tinha apenas 13 anos e tocava apenas em festas privadas e matinês.

Keep On Rising fala sobre “subir”, “ascender”. Também é sobre estar se sentindo pra baixo ou sob pressão, e mudar o seu mindset, trazendo uma sensação de liberdade e de que você pode mais! E tudo isso diz muito sobre a jornada que vivemos durante a quarentena, a necessidade de nos reinventarmos, nos fortalecermos mesmo presos dentro de uma situação que nos colocava sob constante pressão. 
Sem dúvidas, trabalhar nessa track nos tirou muitas vezes de um estado de paralisação, da procrastinação e tristeza que estávamos vivendo. Foi muito prazeroso e curtimos muito o processo até chegar aqui!

Trazendo uma grande influência do House, o EP contém dois remixes de “Keep On Rising”, sendo um o “Club Mix” voltado para pistas mais enérgicas e o “6am Remix” pensando no amanhecer ou pôr-do-sol, das festas e clubs. Esse remix traz uma carga de emoção amplificada, com um piano e violino bem emotivos e que te fazem ter aquela sensação de felicidade plena assistindo o nascer do sol.

Esperamos do fundo do coração que gostem e que traga muita vibe e alegria para as pistas de vocês! <3
